August Events

As we all know, small businesses were hit hard by the covid.  I missed meeting a couple friends over a cold one at our local.  My choice is one of my favourites in Calgary.  Support local!  And hockey playoffs soon…  First person from each city to respond with “I deserve a night out” will receive a $100 gift card to the restaurant in their city!

Calgary – Newcastle on 17th
I love the amazing food (when I’m not on a gluten free diet, I adore the Wild Mushroom pizza) and their Moscow Mules in copper mugs.  They have great blooms on the patio and  garage door windows that open to the summer air.  And their engaging manager, Jay.

Edmonton – Brewhouse in Lewis Estates
Paula loves the Golden Garlic Fingers and drinks (Caesars if she’s having special drinks – they used to put cheez whiz on their celery but they don’t anymore – Paula’s sad), outdoor patio with games to play.  They have lawn games on the patio!

Vancouver – Cazba Restaurant on Davie Street
Gina loves their warm services and the fact that their Roasted Lamb is so good.  She also loves their Roasted Tomatoes.  They have an open space outside where you can sit and people watch.
